A POPULAR wedding venue in South Derbyshire could undergo an expansion.
An application to carry out work at Newton House, in Newton Solney, is expected to be approved by planners next week.
The proposal seeks to convert the Mercure Newton Park Hotel’s adjoining outbuildings, which had previously been of agricultural use.
The buildings would join the main site in being used to stage functions.
