Wind wreaks havoc in Burton and South Derbyshire


WIND damage caused havoc on the roads in Burton and South Derbyshire last night.

Trees were brought crashing down while buildings were damaged.

Moor Street, Burton, was blocked last night after a large tree came down while several rural roads were also affected.

A hairdressers, in Newhall, suffered damage to its roof with debris strewn across High Street as gusts reached up to 70mph in parts of the region.
