A YOUTH offending service will hold an open day in the hope of recruiting volunteers.
Residents in North West Leicestershire can find out more about Leicestershire County Council’s youth offending service at the open day.
The event will run from 3pm until 8pm on Monday March 11 at County Hall, Leicester Road, Glenfield.
Visitors can find out how the service works with young people, and their families, victims of crime and how communities can tackle anti-social behaviour.
There will be presentations, discussions and the opportunity to meet the teams who work to prevent offending.
Joe Orson, Leicestershire County Council cabinet member for safer communities, said: “This event will give both members of the public and professionals the opportunity to find out more about some of the great work the youth offending service carries out with both young people and the wider community.
“There will also be a chance for anyone who is interested to find out more about becoming a volunteer and what that involves.”
