A CONSERVATION area to enable school pupils to get out into the great outdoors has been left overgrown due to budget issues.

The conservation area near Overseal Primary School, in Woodville Road, belongs to Derbyshire County Council but is on a lease to the school.

As a result, it is so overgrown that children cannot be taken down to the site.
