EAST Midlands Airport has suspended all flights in and out of the site after problems with a cargo plane during landing.
Dozens of flights and thousands of passengers have been affected by the runway closure following issues at 2.30am today.
An emergency response plan was activated after a Boeing 737 Freighter with two crew members on board developed problems with its landing gear. There were no injuries.
Many of the passengers who were due to fly out from the airport have been taken to Manchester Airport by coach.
