AS libraries in East Staffordshire prepare to enter a new era, council bosses are keen to hear people's thoughts on the plans.

Staffordshire County Council is calling on library users and members of the public to give their feedback on proposals which will see Burton's building take on a central role as a 'centre of excellence'.

The authority is also keen to hear from people who live in Barton under Needwood.

The village's library is one of more than half in the county which are set to be run completely by volunteers in a bid to save cash.

The consultation can be viewed at www.staffordshire.gov.uk in the Your Council section.
