STUDENTS at Pingle School had a taste of working life when they joined local companies for their work experience.
Placements for the Year 10 youngsters ranged from local primary schools to farms, engineering workshops, offices and shops. Some students were able to work with local vets and even observe hospital surgery.
Two of the students even received a letter to say how well they had done while on their placement at a local care centre.
It read: "Both young ladies were very willing, motivated and enthusiastic.
"They were valuable members of the team during the week and used their own initiative."
Staff at the Swadlincote school have thanked all the companies and organisations who took on their students for the placement weeks.
