Plastic bottle firm handed an award

A COMPANY that makes millions of plastic milk bottles has received an award for being a 'responsible' business.

Nampak Plastics, based in Foston, was presented with a Big Tick at Business in the Community's Responsible Business Awards, which recognise firms that make a contribution to their staff, community and the environment.

Since 2012, the factory has supplied the Infini milk bottle to major supermarkets. The bottle uses less material than a standard bottle and around a third is made from recycled plastic.
