POLICE chiefs have revealed they will speak to staff after a patrol car was pictured parked in a disabled bay outside Burton Police Station.
An eagle eyed reader sent us the snap after spotting the car parked up at the station in Horninglow Street.
Now, chief inspector Steve Maskrey, commander of the East Staffordshire local policing team, told the Mail that he would move to remind officers that they cannot park in the spot.
He said: “I understand the frustrations that can come about when people with disabilities find car parking spaces set aside for their use occupied by people who are not disabled.
“I understand this more as I have a family member with a disability, so totally understand why people could be upset by this.
“I will move to remind officers that they should not be parking in the assigned disabled bay.
“But, I would like to stress that officers can use the spot in such case as an emergency at the station or at Burton Magistrates’ Court.
