THE Brewhouse Arts Centre is getting into the festive spirit nice and early, after announcing the Christmas pantomime.

Much-loved fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk will be staged at the venue just before Christmas, on December 18 and 19.

It is part of a programme of events taking place at the Union Street site in the run-up to Christmas.

Another pantomime, Dick Whittington, will also be performed at the Brewhouse. It will be put on by students at Burton and South Derbyshire College.

Vagabond's Hat: Kinesonic will also be staged. It is a quirky mix of high skills circus, slapstick comedy and innovative music-making, to weaving the uplifting, surreal, steampunk fairytale that is Kinesonic. Vagabond's Hat will be at the Brewhouse on Thursday, December 4.
