PARISH council chiefs have begun the process to draw up a neighbourhood plan for Winshill.

The plan offers an opportunity for residents to put forward their views on how the ‘village’ will develop in the future, what form the development should take and where development, if required, should be sited.

It also may identify what areas are special to Winshill and so should be safeguarded from development, and deal with other issues such as the re-use of large residential properties and infill sites.

Once the plan has completed the formal process, it may become additional guidance for developers on the East Staffordshire Local Plan.

The meeting will take place from 7pm on Wednesday, May 21 at the Neighbourhood Resource Centre, in Canterbury Road, Winshill.
