I SEEM to spend an awful lot of time lathing myself up with various lotions and potions in the constant effort of keeping my skin hydrated and supple.

Bio-Oil is an intensive moisturiser which is nothing short of a little miracle in a pot and has a multitude of benefits for the skin.

The oil reduces the possibility of stretch marks formed during pregnancy, teenage growth spurts and rapid weight gain.

It helps improve the appearance of pigmentation marks and blemishes caused by hormonal fluctuations, skin lighteners or excessive sun exposure.

The oil helps replenish the skin’s natural oils stripped away by factors such as water with a high chemical content, extreme weather, frequent bathing and the drying effects of central heating or air-conditioning. This is especially relevant for me at the moment as I sit in an air-conditioned office all day and then go for a walk each morning and at lunchtime. By using the oil on my arms and legs means I am keeping my skin as hydrated as possible.

It helps improve the appearance of both new and old scars and I am currently using the oil to alleviate the chance of one appearing on my hand. A blister appeared through hand washing, turned into a nasty scab which dropped off and has left quite a mark on my thumb. I am confident the Bio-Oil will work its magic so I’m not left with too much scarring.

Finally, Bio-Oil helps smooth and tone ageing, sagging wrinkles skin on the face and the body – I am applying the oil to my face overnight in the hope that one morning I wake up and look 33 again … although I don’t think that will happen without the aid of plastic surgery but a girl can try.

The smell is delightful and when massaged into the skin properly, the oil doesn’t leave a slippery film.

In fact I am also using the product on my hands with the hope they can be kept looking as young as possible for as long as possible.

There has been quite a lot of media interest in this product for a couple of years and I have to say, I can fully understand why - Bio-Oil is an impressive product.

Alongside the ingredient PurCellin Oil™, Bio-Oil’s key ingredients include Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Calendula Oil, Lavender Oil, Rosemary Oil and Chamomile Oil.

Bio-Oil is also preservative-free and is not tested on animals.
