I ADORE products which involve essential oils and many years ago I had quite an enthusiastic interest in making my own.

This passion for blending my own potions has long since waned; however Cyrine does pretty much what I used to.

To order a personalised product via the website couldn’t be easier.

All I needed to do was fill in a form which included a few specifics: gender; age range; preferred scent type (a drop down menu is involved); what I love the smell of (no brainer for me, I am mad about the essential oil ylang ylang); which smell I hate (rose); what my face and body skin is; the name/message wanted on the product and whether I wanted essential oils in my personlised products.

The idea behind this is that the customer may want help in achieving less stress, better digestion or more energy – for this Cyrine adds a unique blend of essential oils to suit the individual.

I chose a face moisturiser – a girl can never have enough face creams as my dressing table would tell you, if only it could talk.

When my order arrived it was beautifully packaged and on the jar had the label Caroline’s Face Cream. How special am I?

The non-greasy cream, which is recommended to be applied twice a day, leaves my skin soft and supple.

I now have the aroma of ylang ylang with me all day which is apparently a mental stimulant ...

A delightful and simple way of mixing and matching my favourite oils with my favourite skin products.

The product pictured with this review is an off-the-shelf Balancing Geranium. It is a Cyrine best-seller vitamin-rich cream pre-blended with rejuvenating, relaxing and soothing neroli essential oil. Available, priced £27 for a 30ml jar.

Cyrine oily/combination skin face cream. Made-to-order cream jar is priced £32 for a 30ml pot. Available from www.cyrinearomatherapie.co.uk
