Rail chiefs issue advice on level crossing signs

PEOPLE are being urged to 'take notice' of warning signs at level crossings.

Network Rail issued the advice only days after the Mail reported how new signs had to be put in place to ensure people were closing a gate next to a railway line in Branston.

A spokesman for Network Rail said: "Level crossing users are urged to follow the information and warning signs at each crossing.

"We are working to make all level crossings safer and have closed more than 800 nationally in the last four years."
