BURTON Albion have announced a new sponsor of the North Stand at the Pirelli Stadium.

The Brewers have linked up with soft drinks company Cola Rebell in a 12-month deal.

Based in Germany, Cola Rebell was launched in the UK market at this year’s Food and Drink exhibition at the NEC and the firm has its national head office in Burton.

Derek Wainwright, UK sales and marketing at Cola Rebell, said: “The initial success has been almost overwhelming.

“The brand ethos of rebelling against poor taste, combined with the all-natural ingredients including chilli and ginger has caught the imagination of the consumers.

“The taste is unique, and not the typical sweet, bland taste of some colas.

“Sponsorship of Burton Albion is in keeping with the brand. We wanted to sponsor the Brewers as it was important that we supported a successful and rising, UK-owned football club.

“The club is well run, and offers Cola Rebell great advertising and exposure on national television, local and national press, and also potential links to the nearby St.George’s Park.”

Albion commercial director Fleur Robinson said: ‘We’re delighted to be partnering Cola Rebell as part of its launch into the UK market. We look forward to working closely together with Cola Rebell throughout the coming season.”
