Recent cases dealt with at Burton Magistrates’ Court

STEVEN ALLEN, 49, of Woods Lane, Stapenhill.

Found guilty of failing to comply with a request for information under the Child Support Act made on May 29, 2009, in Tamworth.

Fined £165, with £250 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

JULIE FREETH, 48, of Affleck Avenue, Mile Oak, Tamworth.

Admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, in Burton, on July 19.

Had previously denied the offence.

Has been found guilty of assaulting Louise Landrebe and damaging a wooden gate and door, in Mile Oak, on July 19.

Given a 12 month community order and will carry out 80 hours unpaid work.

Will abide by a restraining order and pay £50 compensation.

Also ordered to pay £650 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge and her licence has been endorsed with six penalty points.

GEORGI MAGUREV, 34 of Branston Road, Burton.

Admitted possessing an offensive weapon, namely a folding knife, in Evershed Way, Burton, on February 9.

Also admitted running a red light while driving a Mercedes Sprinter van, in Evershed Way, on February 9.

Given a 12 month community order and will carry out 80 hours unpaid work.

He will pay £85 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

His licence has been endorsed with three penalty points.

MOHAMMED ARFAN, 26, of Napier Street, Burton.

Admitted possession of cannabis, in Burton, on January 30.

Is due to return to court on April 1 for a pre-sentence report.

Answers unconditional bail.
