Recent cases dealt with at Burton Magistrates’ Court

KRISTINA DYCHE, 26, of Waterside, Stapenhill.

Admitted causing unnecessary suffering to a Labrador named Harlow, namely failing to adequately investigate and treat the cause of its poor body condition, in Burton, between October 29, 2013 and November 19, 2013.

Also admitted failing to provide a suitable environment for the dog between November 17 and 19, 2013.

A charge of failing to ensure it received an adequate diet was withdrawn.

Is due to return to court on April 29 for a pre-sentence report.

Answers unconditional bail.

MAHMOUD HAMEDNOUR, 44, of The Wicker, Sheffield.

Admitted assaulting Rania Alam, in Burton, on September 30.

Fined £100, with £100 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

JASON HOBSON, 31, of Vancouver Drive, Winshill.

A charge of possession of glove and a torch allegedly for use in connection with theft, in Burton, on March 7, has been discontinued.

He had denied the alleged offence.

MATTHEW BROXTON, 29, of Queen Street, Burton.

Admitted stealing three Xbox games worth £134.97 from Sainsbury’s, Tamworth, on March 13.

Fined £70, with £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

THOMAS HART, 22, of James Court, Burton.

Admitted stealing three Xbox games worth £134.97 from Sainsbury’s, Tamworth, on March 13.

Fined £110, with £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Admitted breaching a conditional discharge and was fined a further £70.

DEREK SPENCER, 60, of James Street, Burton.

Admitted stealing groceries worth £10.35 from Sainsbury’s, Burton, on March 23.

Fined £70, with £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
