Recent cases dealt with at Burton Magistrates’ Court

LEISA MASON, 44, of South Oak Street, Burton.

Admitted driving a black Ford Fiesta, in Anglesey Road, Burton, on February 1, with 98 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Previously denied the charge.

Is due to return to court on June 9 for a pre-sentence report.

Answers unconditional bail.

RICHARD WALL, 58, of Wetmore Road, Burton.

It was proved in his absence that he drove a Vauxhall Corsa exceeding 30mph, in Princess Way, Stretton, on September 2.

He was fined £40, with £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Has been banned from driving for six months as he is a repeat offender.

JOANNE WOODHALL, 43, of Broadway Street, Burton.

Admitted failing to notify East Staffordshire Borough Council of a change in circumstances, namely that she was living with Robert Woodhall as husband and wife, which would affect her entitlement to housing and council tax benefits, in Burton, between June 4, 2012 and April 28, 2013.

Also admitted failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in circumstances, namely that she was living with Robert Woodhall as husband and wife, which would affect her entitlement to Employment Support Allowance, in Burton, on May 24, 2012.

Given a 12 month community order with a curfew for four months ordering her to stay indoors from 8pm to 6am every day.

Will also pay £200 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

CHRISTIAN BLORE, 41, of Stafford Road, Uttoxeter.

Found guilty of driving an Iveco without wearing a seatbelt, in Town Meadows Way, Uttoxeter, on September 2.

Fined £200, with £620 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
