A COMMUNITY group in North West Leicestershire is encouraging residents to report incidents of antisocial behaviour in a popular green space.

The Friends of Ashby Bath Grounds group have noted that the light nights of the summer months were bringing an increase in anti-social behaviour at the Bath Grounds, Ashby.

Problems include drinking, littering smashed glass and used sanitary products, urinating in public, vandalism including stripping bark and setting fire to trees and scorching of the grass using disposable barbecues.

The group, which works to protect and promote the green space, is urging members of the public to report any issues they witness to the police, who have pledged to clamp down on antisocial behaviour this summer.
