FORMER Burton Albion and Derby County goalkeeper Richard Knight is running two training days during the summer holidays.
The 34-year-old, who really made his mark with Oxford United in the Football League, is part of the Just4Keepers network and will hold his sessions at Craythorne Road playing fields, in Rolleston.
On Friday, August 8 there is a 'Goalie Wars' fun day as keepers of the same age battle it out to be the best No1 at the session.
It is open to all goalkeepers aged eight to 16 and runs between 10am and 1pm.
Then on Tuesday, August 12, Knight will give a two-hour introduction to keeping, working on all aspects of the skills required for the job – handling, agility, reflexes, kicking and decision making.
It is for both beginners and more experienced glovesmen, again between the ages of eight and 16, and runs from 10am to 2pm.
To book a place on either of the courses, Knight can be contacted on either 07805 166687 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
