TWO East Staffordshire rockers are preparing to tour the UK for the second time with a top American alternative rock band as their success continues to grow.
Blame will be joining LIT throughout this month to hit seven venues across the country from Glasgow to Reading.
In a busy year for the duo - with guitarist James Brighouse and Sam Johnson on vocals and guitar - they are currently working with the ‘Godfather of Grunge’, engineer and owner of the now legendary Seattle-based studio Reciprocal Recordings.
Brighouse told the Mail: “Needless to say, we’re excited, this is our second full UK tour in a little over 12 months.
“I grew up listening to LIT, when I heard we’d been invited out to support I was overjoyed. For us, touring is a great way to see old friends whilst making new fans.
“There’s a lot of hard work goes into planning the shows and practising the material but the benefits are many and varied.
“Not only do we get to take our music to new cities and fresh venues, but we also get to see one of our favourite bands bring the house down each and every night.”
The two men sought inspiration from records of their youth and the bands that drew them in while they were growing up in Uttoxeter. A preview of the forthcoming Blame single Tired and Lonely is available on Soundcloud.
