SOME of Burton’s most vulnerable families received an Easter treat when emergency workers and rotarians turned up at their door with bags of goodies.

The First Call team at Trent and Dove Housing teamed up with the Burton Rotary Club to provide the parcels for the fifth year running.

A total of 30 parcels, full to the brim with tasty supplies and home essentials, were delivered to needy households across the borough.

The First Call team provide round-the-clock emergency care and has already received warm feedback about the parcels.

Team member, Lin Hoffin, said: “Burton Rotary Club has really gone the extra mile, the parcels look great and we are certain that these generous donations will benefit greatly our elderly and disabled clients.

“We are always grateful for the donations made by the club, the most rewarding part of our work is to see our clients smile - and these parcels do exactly that.”
