FOUR-legged friends trotted along to the RSPCA in Stretton at the weekend, to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells at the site’s open day and fun day.
They took along their owners to make the most of the activities on offer, which were taking place to raise money for the on-going care of the animals at the Hillfield Lane shelter.
There were stalls, food, a bar and a host of other goings-on to entertain everyone who went along.
A carousel set up for those seeking traditional fairground fun, Burton Albion mascot Billy Brewer went along to entertain children, and there was an inflatable goal for people to try their luck with. An inflatable children’s slide was also set up.
A clairvoyant was there for people who wanted to look into the future, and for those of a more earthly bent, prize bingo sessions were running.
There was also a tombola and a raffle, with prizes including a trip for two to Disneyland Paris.
As always, however, the fun dog show was the highlight of the day.
