HUNDREDS of sun worshippers had all the fun of the fair during a scorching Saturday for the annual Heart of the Forest Festival.
The popular festival, held in Measham, brought together many local groups and organisations and introduced its ‘floats’ for a parade taking pride of place down the High Street and into the leisure grounds at Measham Library.
Among the most popular attractions was a 170ft inflatable, bungee trampolines, karting and a tank truck ride.
Other entertainment included owls and parrots, a mobile recording studio and the Daleks.
Joining the floats was several marching groups, military vehicles and classic cars.
The grounds also featured more than 100 stalls, sideshows, fairground rides, food and refreshments, and music from many different bands.
A spokesman for the festival committee said: “It was absolutely fantastic.
“It was so nice to see so many people in one place have such a great day.
“I am so proud to have been part of the festival and want to thank all or committee members and their families for helping put it all together.”
