SIX more inmates have failed to return to an open prison near Burton – in a week.

Two of the prisoners – Patrick James Pugh and Adam James Yaroo – walked out of Sudbury Open Prison on Monday and have yet to return to their cells.

Pugh was serving a four-year sentence after being convicted of robbery at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

The 24-year-old is described as white, of medium build, 5ft 7ins tall, with brown, shaven hair.

Yaroo was convicted at Croydon Crown Court in August 2012 and was sentenced to four years for burglary. The two latest absconders join Marcus Brotherson and Jordan John David Hall who went missing on Thursday night.

Two nights earlier Michael Fien McCarthy absconded from the prison. The 24-year-old was sentenced last year to three years for wounding with intent. The previous Monday, 38-year-old Andrew David Hudson left the prison.
