A 29-YEAR-OLD man is due in court tomorrow after admitting three charges of causing unnecessary suffering to two animals.

Daniel Higgs, of Salisbury Drive, Midway, is due in front of Burton magistrates for a pre-sentence report.

Between September 17 and October 15, last year, Higgs failed to explore and address a male English Bull terrier’s skin condition, eye problem and/or weight loss.

He also admitted failing to ensure that dog’s and a female dog’s environment was suitable.

All offences relate to an address in Swadlincote.

Higgs has been charged under the Animal Welfare Act in a prosecution brought by the RSPCA.

More information to follow.
