THE entire first team Burton Albion have been presented with a special shirt by an RAF pilot.

Flight Lieutenant Sophie Darby, who was born and raised in Burton and has regularly attended Brewers matches with her family over the years, handed the shirt to Gary Rowett and the team before the game against Dagenham and Redbridge.

Deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, last summer as part of Squadron 31 RAF, she was part of Operation Herrick, providing tactical reconnaissance and support to troops.

On one of her missions, she took her signed Burton Albion shirt with her in a Tornado GR4, which is a military war plane.

Because of this, the shirt will now be showcased at the Pirelli Stadium.
