A YOUNGSTER from Burton had to be airlifted to hospital yesterday after apparently falling from an upstairs window.

Ambulance crews and paramedics were called to an address in Shobnall Street just after 2pm before two helicopters from Midlands Air Ambulance landed at Shobnall fields.

West Midlands Ambulance service confirmed the boy was believed to have suffered serious head injuries.

A spokesman told the Mail: “We were called just after 2pm on Tuesday. One response ambulance attended along with a paramedic. We also sent two air ambulances to the scene, one of which had a merit doctor on board.

“A child, a boy, was airlifted to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with serious head injuries and had to be anesthetised on the scene.”

This information has only just been revealed to the Mail.
