A CYCLIST from South Derbyshire has been injured in a hit-and-run incident in Kent.
The 24-year-old man was travelling with two other cyclists, who were also hurt, on the A2 on Tuesday night.
They are believed to have been hit by a Ford vehicle shortly after 10pm, which then left the scene in Ashford, around 20 miles from the south coast.
All three were taken to hospital but their injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
Part of the carriageway was closed for around two hours after the incident.
Police in Kent are now trying to find the car involved.
A force spokeswoman said the Ford would be missing a black plastic wing mirror and could also be missing a fog or side light housing.
