SPEEDING vehicles are being targeted by police after it was raised as a priority by residents.

Police updated Hartshorne Parish Council on the situation in the village and said a new priority set by the public who attend the Safer Neighbourhood Meetings is speeding vehicles.

Officers have been conducting speed watch, by using speed guns on several roads to highlight drivers breaking the speed limits. Tickets and notifications have been issued.

The main problem areas within Woodville and Hartshorne are Moira Road, and Woodville Road.

The next meeting of the parish council will take place on Monday at Eureka School, in Dunsmore Way, Midway, from 7pm.
