Anthony O'ConnorHELLO and welcome to this week’s captains column. We entertain Rotherham today in a game that if we win will cement our place in the playoffs.
We got another vital away point at AFC Wimbledon last week. It’s nice to finally be putting some points on the board even if it is only a draw.
Every point will be vital between now and the end of the season as we look to compliment our incredible home form with that of our away form.
We had a game free week which allowed us to concentrate on our training and its been a really good week in terms of our preparation for today’s game.
Anthony O’Connor got an international call up for the Irish u21’s and played 45 minutes in a 3-0 win over Holland.
Another important young signing for us is Adam Drury. We’ve managed to sign Adam until the end of the season from Man City and he will add great competition for the wide men including the now fit again jimmy Philips.
Jimmy is chomping at the bit to get in and hopefully it won’t be long til he gets back in the starting 11.
With it being international week just gone the elite of English football trained at St George’s Park on Monday and Tuesday.
It’s great for us as a club to call St George’s Park our training ground.
It’s a huge attraction for any incoming player when they see the facilities that are available to us.
We are in a great position in the league and let’s all stick together as we look to keep our great form going as we enter the final third of the season.
Be loud and be proud.
Come on you Brewers!
