Big crowd expected to watch the stars of the future

BURTON Albion are expecting a 3,000-plus crowd when they host the cream of England&rsquos young football talent at the Pirelli Stadium tonight, kick-off 7.35pm.

Premier League stars of the future go on show as England under-16s take on Scotland in the Sky Sports Victory Shield match.

England team boss Kenny Swain said: &ldquoHopefully the people of Burton and football fans in the surrounding areas will come out and support the team on the night.

&ldquoWe are really privileged in this country to have so much talent at our disposal at under-16 level.

&ldquoThe boys have done really well in the first two matches, away from home against Northern Ireland and Wales, producing two fine performances.

&ldquoAt this level, its not always about results, its about collective performances as a team, and I will be looking for a performance like the two previous games from the boys against Scotland.

&ldquoI always tell the players to enjoy the moment of representing your country for the first time in their careers &mdash it is something definitely they should cherish at this age.

&ldquoGames against Scotland are always competitive at any level and Thursday will be no different.

&ldquoWe&rsquove got a fantastic relationship with the Scottish FA and it&rsquos been a pleasure to welcome them into St George&rsquos Park this year for the first time.

&ldquoThey will be training and staying on site throughout the week and hopefully they will enjoy the magnificent facilities on offer.&rdquo

Ticket prices are £3 for adults and £1 for those aged 16 and under and over 65s. Tickets are available on the evening or in advance by calling 01283 565938.
