Lee Cooke and Steve Butterworth got Willington off to the perfect start by winning the opening four frames.
Nig Duggins prevented the whitewash by taking took a hard-earned frame off master break-builder Loz Kennerson who knocked in a superb 59 to take the other frame.
Daz Harris completed a well deserved victory by beating Gaz Ward.
Second-placed Alrewas C maintained their promotion ambitions with a hard-fought 5-3 win at Rolleston B 5-3.
Colin Wood won both frames as he edged out Arron Doyle. Rob McMeecham against Dave Bentley finished honours even before Karl Hancox took Alrewas over the winning line.
For Rolleston, Steve Atkin was in majestic form as he beat Nigel Edwards.
In the Swad Cons inter-club derby the promotion-chasing C team overcame Swad B 6-2.
Cons club chairman John Griffin played well for the B team to share the honours with the talented Matt Newbold. Craig Wilson, the C team skipper, was too hot for the experienced Bob McInulty while Pete Fearn was a little unlucky to lose both to an in-form Colin Cope. Jon Petcher deservedly drew with Paul Hollis in a rather scrappy match.
In other results fifth-placed Tutbury C kept the pressure on the teams above by beating rock bottom SDSC F 6-2.
Belmont C got off to the perfect start against Woodville S&S B, winning the first four frames before claiming a 5-3 win. SDSC E enjoyed a good home win over Burton Cons D winning 5-3 with Nick Harcombe launching his snooker league career with a fine two-frame win over Al Munnien which included a well constructed 43 break.
