Casuals into semi- finals
REPTON Casuals squeezed through to the last four of the FIRST CHOICE WHOLESALE CHALLENGE CUP thanks to a Darren Ruston goal to beat Netherseal St Peters, writes OLVA LLOYD.
The other quarter-final was won by Railway, who beat Beacon Kelts 11-0.
In the TAG PREMIER DIVISION. Uttoxeter Town had no reply as they went down 4-0 to Edge Hill.
Jordi Gough (2), Jason Howlett and Karl Wayte all found the net.
New Inn beat Shobnall Dynamo 4-2. Simon Bannister (2), Karl Chadfield and Kieran Stephenson netted for New Inn. Brent Upton and Ant Carlile scored for Shobnall.
The match between Willington and TL Darby finished 2-2. Chris King and Tom Bartram scored for Willington while Kevin McFarlane and Steve Arlows netted for Darby.
In DIVISION ONE, Edge Hill reserves beat Midway 5-1. Glyn Carter, Steve Bamford, Jacques Briscoe, Alex Rowland and Leon Clarke were on target for Edge Hill. Jim Wood notched the consolation goal for Midway.
Kings Bromley Swifts beat William IV, Alrewas, 5-3.
Adam Foster (2), Chris Chapman, Luke Nelson and Ian Smith netted for Swifts, while Dunc Owen, Jo Parkes and Russ Wood scored for William.
The game between Oakthorpe Athletic and Monks Bridge ended in a 3-3 draw. Daniel James (2) and Michael Neal scored for Oakthorpe. Richard Ralley (2) and Danny Insley netted for the Monks.
Christmas came early for Blackfordby YC in DIVISION TWO as they beat Yoxall Rangers 16-0.
Nick Sewell (6), Dan Stephens (2), Ashley Eyley (2), Will Grummett (2), Lee Baillie, Andrew Gardner, Mark Hudson and Reece Broadhurst celebrated early.
The Sump beat Moria United 2-0. Liam Jones and Nigel Brewin found the net.
Seal Inn beat New Inn Wanderers 6-2. Nathan Venning (2), Dan Pestell, Todd Foster, Adam Lewis and Steve Hawtin netted for the Seal while Jamie Mirner and James Birkenhead scored for Wanderers.
Whittington United beat Greenfield Royal Oak 3-2.
Dan Gour (2) and Dave Blood scored for Whittington, Carl Norton and Craig Tise for Greenfield.
Marlboro Western Rovers and Etwall Rangers drew 3-3. Andrew Fell (2) and Chris Parker scored for Rovers. Luke Tomlinson (2) and Scott Wyllie did likewise for Rangers.
In DIVISION THREE, Shobnall Rovers beat Findern Park 7-1. Jason Stubbs (3), Lee Proudlove (2), Tom Brown and Steve Southall netted for Shobnall. Danny Upton pulled one back for Findern.
The Drum and Monkey beat Viking 5-0. David Laud (2), Jordan Dent (2) and Ash Edwards all scored.
FC Belvedere beat Grange FC 5-3. Philip Wheildon (3), Chris Wheildon and Darren Stanley netted for Belvedere. Stephen Faulding (2) and Hayden Shepherd scored for Grange.
In DIVISION FOUR, Oakthorpe Athletic reserves thrashed Woodville 5-0. Liam Whitehead (3), Thomas Antill and George Shuttleworth scored.
Thorntree beat Midway reserves 6-3. Chris Billings (3), Stuart Watson, Dean Acton and Lucas Harrison found the net for Thorntree. Ashley Deakin, Daniel Sherman and Shaun Wileman scored for Midway.
Stretton Wanderers beat TL Darby reserves 3-2.
Mark Rezin, Lewis Baxter and Jamie Wood netted for Stretton. Richard Taylor and Lee Watson scored for Darby.
Elsewhere, Hoar Cross Hall beat Anglesey Arms 1- 0.
In DIVISION FIVE, Alrewas RBL had no answer when Devonshire Arms, Burton, beat them 7-0. Karl Hancox (2), Tom Liversage (2), Scott Dunn, Ross Haywood and Ben Tivey did the damage.
Shobnall Athletic beat Whittington United reserves 5-0. Matt Smales (2), Keith Holden, Simon Hall and Andrew Williams were all on target.
Burton FC beat Hatton Wanderers 4-3. Curtis Dewley, John Marks, Paul Yeomans and Omur Maimed netted for Burton.
Robert Cruse, Alex Shaw and Nathan Heightly scored for Hatton.
Another 3-3 draw was the result between Acorn United and Branston Gate. Charlie Insley, Andy Wright and Kevin Fisher scored for Acorn. Freddie Shreeve (2) and Mike Thompson netted for Branston Gate.
