DERBY County midfielder Will Hughes is looking forward to a learning experience after joining up with the England Under-21s this week.
The Rams teenager is in line to face Sweden in tonight's night’s friendly against Sweden at Walsall’s Banks’ Stadium, kick-off 7.30pm.
He said: “Getting called up to any age group with England is nice, but even more so because I am playing two or three years ahead of me.
“It is going to be a good few days and I will learn from the players.
“I didn't think the Under-21 squad was capable of getting even stronger, but the likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Phil Jones and Wilfried Zaha are all in there, so it is going to be a really good experience for me.”
Hughes, 17, made his international bow against Northern Ireland in November last year, which made the academy graduate the second youngest player to have played for the Under-21s after Arsenal’s Theo Walcott.
He trained with the rest of Stuart Pearce's team yesterday at St George's Park, along with Roy Hodgson's senior squad.
