DERBY County bridged a seven-year gap when they beat Charlton Athletic on Saturday to record a sixth consecutive league win under Steve McClaren (pictured).

The sequence matched the feat in the promotion campaign of 2006-07.

Under Billy Davies, the Rams beat Plymouth Argyle 1-0, Preston North End 2-1, Sheffield Wednesday 1-0, Southend United 1-0, Burnley 1-0 and Southampton 1-0 between late December and early February.

FA Cup victories over Wrexham and Bristol Rovers stretched the winning run to eight matches in all competitions.

Derby also won six consecutive league games in the November of that season and went on to win promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs.

But which of these teams is better?

DERBY COUNTY 2006/07: Stephen Bywater; Marc Edworthy, Michael Johnson, Dean Leacock, Jay McEveley; Giles Barnes, Matt Oakley, David Jones, Seth Johnson; Steve Howard, Arturo Lupoli

DERBY COUNTY 2013/14: Lee Grant; Andre Wisdom, Richard Keogh, Jake Buxton, Craig Forsyth; Will Hughes, Craig Bryson, Jeff Hendrick; Jamie Ward, Johnny Russell, Chris Martin
