IVANHOE Runners’ Rosie Dear finished ninth in category at the challenging Vitruvian half-ironman at Rutland water on Saturday.
Dear clocked five hours, 32 minutes and 36 seconds for 437th overall.
Team-mate Teresa Talbott, who only took up triathlon earlier this year, had an excellent day, finishing in 6:17:10.
Trish McPherson competed in the swim (43:13) and cycle (3:32:29) as part of her training for other events.
Ivanhoe ladies’ relay team of swimmer Julia Blewitt-Jenkins, who was third fastest female swimmer overall in 31:43, cyclist Carolyn Osborne (3:01:33) and runner Amanda Bradbury (1:51:36) finished 11th.
The middle distance triathlon theme continued on Sunday when Julian Rawlings completed the Wild Boar event at Bosworth Water in 5:42:08 – slashing a mammoth 17 minutes off her previous best.
In Sunday’s final Leicestershire Road Running League race, the John Fraser 10-mile, there was a dead heat in the race to win the fastest Ivanhoe Runner accolade.
Men’s captain Martin Yeomans and treasurer Phil Stevenson, both finished in a fine 66:45 for joint 60th place.

Ruth Enion was first Ivanhoe female home with a storming run, setting a huge personal best of 1:19:44 for 41st lady.
Lynda Revill made a welcome return to racing with an excellent 1:21:46, finishing just ahead of Blewitt-Jenkins (1:22:01) on the back of a very fast swim leg in the Vitruvian triathlon relay.

Katie Cotton was 67th in 1:26:21 with Sarah Taylor finished 68th in 1:26:29.
Clare Fowell had an excellent day at the Kenilworth Half Marathon, smashing her previous best to finish 30th lady in 1:40:08.
At the Wolverhampton Marathon, Ian Kirk and Nick Teige ran together and were 83rd and 84th in a time of 3:41:42.
Richard Martin and Heidi Elliot both ran the Wilne 10k, clocking 38:27 and 58:08 respectively.
Bob White ran a new parkrun 5k best at Newark in 23:27 and at Conkers there was a new PB of 23:16 for Katie Cotton.
