Pickering hits three as Rolleston stay top

A CLAYTON Pickering treble highlighted the 7-0 win for Rolleston at Newhall Lions and helped them stay top of ROGER BULLIVANT UNDER-15 DIVISION ONE.

Further goals came from William McBride (2), Tom Dunn and Lewis McQuillan.

Second-placed Repton Casuals Blue had to content themselves with just a point after battling their way to a 1-1 draw at Lichfield RT.

Alex Barton hit the back of the net for Casuals in answer to the home side’s Joshua Dick.

Rocester kept a clean sheet when they entertained Stretton RS Black, with Charlie Chatterley-Slavin (2), Callum Brassington, Kieran Bullock and Darien Emery goals securing the 5-0 success.

Whittington Lions got off the mark in BJFL UNDER-15 DIVISION TWO as goals from Ryan Lewis (2), Reece Davies and Anthony Scranage secured a share of the points as they fought their way to a 4-4 draw at Hilton Harriers.

The home side replied through Callum Bagley, Lewis Hanley and Alex Walker.

Sam Evans and Mitchell Hollis both knocked in hat-tricks for leaders Newhall Cougars in their 6-4 victory at TS Sports.

Stretton Swifts maintained second spot with a 5-2 defeat of Repton Casuals White, with Joel Stanley (2), Daniel Brearley, Dominic Staley and David Waters outscoring Repton’s duo of Jake Pope and Gareth Sandbrook.

Liam Dakin’s treble formed half of Winshill’s total as they triumphed 6-3 at home to Newhall Cougars, with the balance made up by Harry Bannister, Ben Clarke and Ryan Sharp.

Stretton RS Red came out on top 3-2 at Uttoxeter, with goals from Macauley Greensmith and Bradley Sammons for the hosts just losing out to Stretton’s Ewan Collins, Ira Hemming and Stuart Sorenson.
