Rolleston put seven up against lowly Doveridge

ROGER BULLIVANT UNDER-15 DIVISION ONE leaders Rolleston hosted struggling Doveridge and extended their winning run by completing an emphatic 7-2 victory.

Goals from the visitors’ Russell Cartwright and Jake Wilson were swamped by the reply from Rolleston’s Lewis McQuillan (2), Tom Dunn, Joshua Harris, Clayton Pickering, Daniel Wildman and Joe Wilson.

Stretton RS Black were a player short at Repton Casuals Blue and went down 8-0.

A hat-trick for the home side’s Harry Arckless was backed up by Mark Worth (2), Charlie Bee, Henry Mayhew and Joshua Thorley.

Barton Rovers were made to work for their 2-0 win against a short-handed Newhall Lions outfit, with George Beaty and Sam Pitchford on target to secure the points.

Newhall Panthers suffered their first home defeat in BJFL UNDER-15 DIVISION TWO as the leaders lost out 3-2 to Repton Casuals White.

Goals from Mitchell Hollis and Billy Howard were topped by Repton’s Jake Pope (2) and Tom Woodward.

Joel Stanley fired in eight goals for second-placed Stretton Swifts as they closed the gap by inflicting a crushing 14-2 defeat on struggling Whittington Lions.

A double for the latter’s Ryan Lewis was swept aside as Daniel Brearley (2), Ryan Hughes (2), Dominic Staley and David Waters completed the scoring blitz.

Uttoxeter picked up a good point at Winshill as they held the home side to a 2-2 draw.

Winshill’s Liam Dakin and Ryan Sharp saw their efforts cancelled out by Stephen Bailey and Adam Tarr.

The only match to survive in KL ENGINEERING UNDER-16 DIVISION ONE saw Ashbourne Aztecs bring their losing streak to an end with a 4-0 win at Doveridge Blue.

A double for Liam Watson was added to by Dan Lear and Joshua Timms.

There was better news for Doveridge Red as they increased their advantage at the top of MIDLAND FIRE SECURITY SERVICES UNDER-16 DIVISION TWO after a 3-2 success against fellow title contenders Ashby Ivanhoe.

Leo Flockton, Ben Newbitt and Bertie Winstone were all on target for Doveridge to negate Kerr Horn’s brace.

Connor Hall and Richard Smith both hit trebles for Midway in their 7-0 win at Barton Rovers, with Luke Richardson adding the other.

Stretton Eagles went down 7-2 at home to Whittington, with goals for Luca Gallone and Kyran Pye unable to match the onslaught from George Geobey (3), Tom Forsyth (2), Callum Carter and Jake Regan.
