JONATHAN Fletcher lifted the Evershed Vase for the fifth consecutive year after a 3-0 victory over Mark Press.
Fletcher won the first frame on the black after Press, who had potted an excellent pink, missed the relatively easy frame-winning ball after overstretching.
Press failed to recover from that miss while the defending champion was in very good form all night - especially in the second and third frames which featured a lovely break in the 40s followed by a number of breaks in the mid-20s.
