Staffordshire PCC is happy with force's financial outlook

STAFFORDSHIRE'S police and crime commissioner Matthew Ellis says the past year has been 'tremendous' as he continues to improve the force's finances.

In the 'Progress Towards a Safer Staffordshire' report, Mr Ellis has drawn attention to both what has gone well and areas he thinks still need improvement from the past 12 months. He also said he was happy with the current financial outlook.

He said: "If I'm honest, 18 months ago I wouldn't have believed finances would be so strong and the fact they are is testament to the extraordinarily good working relationship between my small team of professionals and Staffordshire Police."
