STAPENHILL manager Steve Gough is confident his side can pull off a surprise result against Retford United in tonight's FA Cup replay.

The Swans punched above their weight to draw 2-2 at the North Nottinghamshire side in Saturday's extra-preliminary round tie.

Tonight (7.45pm), Stapenhill have several of their more experienced players back.

"I fancy us in the replay," said the manager. "We're all looking forward to it.

"They've got a very nice unit in the middle of the park and if I start some lads who are happy to put their foot in, we can negate that.

"We look very threatening up front."

Despite his more seasoned squad members coming back, Gough was delighted with the way a young side took the fight to Retford on Saturday.

"All three of our young midfielders – Asa Sippits, Jordan Stevens and Alex Rowland – did very well," said the Swans boss.

"Harry Austin also did well at centre-half and I was really pleased with the performance.

"The lads showed great spirit and I thought we'd hold on to win it."

The Swans will be without forwards Sam Taylor and Jamie Disney as well as Stevens, who are all unavailable.

Sippits (back) and Alex Rowland (foot) are also rated as doubtful.

However, centre-half Steve Dennahy and midfielders Aaron Carvell, Jacques Briscoe and Paul Furniss return to the squad after being unavailable at the weekend.

SWANS (from): Gough, Davies, Dennahy, Perry, Rolph, Carvell, Furniss, Briscoe, Sippits, Weightman, Rowland, Austin, Gilligan, Wayte.
