YOUNGSTERS from a Burton school have created a special new home for birds living on their site.
Pupils at Paulet High, in Violet Way, Stapenhill, took part in a project to build a bird enclosure for a garden at the school which is home to chickens and quails.
Nicola Bradley, inclusion support manager, spoke to the Mail about the initiative.
She said: "The project was part of the Year 10 foundation learning work and everyone really enjoyed getting stuck in and involved.
"It now has pride of place in the garden and everyone involved did a great job.
"The group involved designed and created a bird enclosure in our school garden to house our chickens and quails.
"It will get plenty of use in the new school year."
