If you have any information about any crime then pick up the phone and ring the Crimestoppers number in confidence.

Now please take a look at this week’s list of crimes and see if you can help.

BURGLARY

Between 9am and 6pm on Wednesday, July 2, a house in Limestone Close, Hartshorne, was targeted by thieves, the house was empty at the time. The culprits used an object to force the rear window of the property. They did not take anything from the house.

BURGLARY

Between 8am and 7.15pm on Tuesday, July 8 a house in Broughton Close, in Church Broughton, had a quantity of jewellery stolen during a burglary. The offender has smashed the glass in the patio door and searched several rooms in the home.

The house is in a cul-de-sac and any strange vehicles or persons there would have stood out. Did you see anything? Let us know if you did by calling police as soon as possible?

Between 12.15pm and 4pm on July 8 in Twyford Close, Willington, a Vauxhall Signum had its rear number plate stolen. In the same location at around the same time a Suzuki Grand Vitara also had its front number plate taken.

We have experienced an increase in this type of offence over the last couple of months especially in the Hilton, Etwall and Willington area.

Have you seen anyone acting suspiciously around the front or rear of vehicles? Have you seen anyone with number plates which weren’t from their own vehicle?
