STRETTON Swifts have been crowned champions of BRIAN MOLE UNDER-12 DIVISION ONE with a game to spare.
They did it in some style by preserving their 100 per cent home record in the process as they completed an 8-0 win over a short-handed Uttoxeter Juniors outfit, a Kai Maw hat-trick leading the way as Kieran Bahia-Dhesi (2), Kyle Grant (2) and John Palmer also found the net.
A 2-2 stalemate was the result of Edge Hill’s final game of the season against Barton Rovers and they now have to wait to see whether that is good enough to secure the runners-up spot, with their two rivals for that spot, Rolleston Diamonds and Ashby Ivanhoe, both having one game to play.
Shamas Amer and Spencer Green netted for Edge Hill to match up to Barton’s duo of Tomas Crean and Henry Harrison.
Earlier in the week, Barton had also fought out a 2-2 draw at home to Marlborough Rovers when Dominic Coe and Emre Sarioglu were on target for the visitors to cancel out a Jack Owen brace for the hosts.
James Harrison struck four goals for Ashby Ivanhoe in an emphatic 9-0 defeat of Gresley as Angus Osborne (2), Robert McCarron (2) and Ben Jones made up the total.
Winshill Green found no joy either when they visited Ivanhoe, Will Darvill failing to prevent a 2-1 loss as the hosts struck through Harrison and Ethan Humphries.
The clash between the two contenders for the runners-up spot in DNS UNDER-12 DIVISION TWO, Belvedere Blue and Measham Welfare, ended in a 2-2 draw which resulted in Measham clinching the trophy in their penultimate game as the valiant effort put in by Belvedere over the closing weeks of their campaign ultimately came up short.
Ben Golding knocked in a brace for Belvedere which was matched up by Measham’s Archie Kirk and Layton Samuel.
Draw specialists Marlborough Yellow were at it again as visitors Hilton Harriers Rhinos collected their first away point of the season in the 4-4 stalemate.
Hilton were on target through Lewis Noble (2), Graham Furnell and Jacob Hope and the replies were scored by Ben Jenkin (2), Thomas Orpin and Thomas Smith.
CHAMPIONS Mickleover Sports rounded off their BURTON ALBION UNDER-11 DIVISION ONE campaign in style.
Charlie Stone hit all their goals in a 4-0 defeat of Chellaston Red Sox, while New Boulton Athletic were made to work hard for their win by battling Burton All Stars.
They eventually squeezed to a 4-3 success thanks to goals from Harry Chiarella, Taylor Cruise, William Gallagher and Bayley Oliver-Brown as Taylor Hurdman (2) and Daniel Drozdowski netted for All Stars.
Whittington Warriors’ 5-2 win against Belvedere Park Blue featured an impressive four-goal haul from Oliver Pargeter.

TAYLOR CARPETS UNDER-11 DIVISION TWO champions Chellaston Black Sox ended the season on a winning note as Toby Gould, Bradley Harlow, Luke Hodgkinson and Harvey Loomes secured a 4-0 success against Uttoxeter White.
Goals from Sam Jones and Ross Etherington ensured runners-up Mayfield ended with a 2-0 defeat of Barton Rovers Spartans.
Adam Richards was the hero for Abbots Bromley as he netted all four in their win against Marlborough, who had to settle for a William Smith consolation goal.
Newhall Tigers ended their season on a high as strikes from Alexander Goodall and Callum Manley ensured a worthy 2-0 win against Ashby Ivanhoe, while goals from Daniel Campbell and Thomas Hackett clinched a 2-1 win for Rolleston as Tutbury Tigers replied through Ben Midgley.
TS Sports were also 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Zak Ray and Billy Bancroft as Euan Thorpe replied for Hilton Orange.
HOLIDAYS DIRECT UNDER-11 DIVISION THREE champions Wyrley Juniors beat Woodville Rangers 3-1 to remain unbeaten.
Luke Pritchard (2) and Josh Hill were their scorers, with Nathan Bowen grabbing a consolation goal for Woodville.
Keir Sheppard and Jack Brearley eased Willington to a 2-0 win against Stapenhill Swans, while four-goal Mathew Warner ensured runners-up Winshill Green ended the season with a big win.
Warner was joined on the scoresheet by Dylan Kitchener (2), Josh Boam and Chris Russell in an 8-0 hammering of Melbourne Red Sox.
There was a repeat scenario as Belvedere Red had a four-goal hero in Harry North as they matched Winshill’s goalscoring exploits.
Jacob Marshall (2), Charles Rushton and Jak Bannister also hit the target against Alrewas Colts.
