Tackling speeding in Brizlincote Valley set to cost council

COUNCILLORS have been told they will have to fork out £14,000 to have speed indication devices (SIDs) installed in Burton.

Chiefs in Brizlincote Valley have been trying to find a solution to speeding problems that have dogged the area, with Hargate Road and Leander Rise particularly affected.

Brizlincote Parish Council hopes the SIDs, along with repeater signs on lampposts, will help tackle the problem. A decision is expected to be made in the coming weeks.
