POLICE investigating how £1,000 worth of damage was caused to a car in Burton have arrested a teenager.

Mother-of-three Kayleigh Harrison was left fuming after her Kia, which is specially modified for her disabled daughter, was scratched last week in Manor Crescent, Stapenhill.

An 18-year-old from Burton has been arrested in connection with the incident, which was branded by Inspector Rob Neeson, of Burton Police, as ‘needless, mindless vandalism’.

Ms Harrison told the Mail last week: “It looks like someone has used a Stanley knife blade. It will cost £1,000 to have repaired.”
