Thomas Cook shed set to stay in Melbourne

A SHED which is the only remaining building from Melbourne Railway Station opened by travel pioneer Thomas Cook looks set to stay in place.

South Derbyshire District Council will, as a matter of course, resolve outstanding planning issues related to 43 to 45 Blanch Croft, Melbourne.

As well as applying for the installation of a small domestic pizza oven, the council also wants to retain the small shed in question, as well as a small metal gate and side panel, and a greenhouse built without permission some 20 years ago.
