A REVELLER who tried to encourage members of the public into a fight has been fined for being drunk and disorderly.
Liam Dawson, of Blackpool Street, Burton, was being aggressive towards door staff and members of the public outside the Fever nightclub on High Street when he was approached by police in the early hours of January 31.
The 22-year-old admitted being drunk and disorderly when he appeared before Burton Magistrates’ Court today.
Andrew Bodger, prosecuting, said: “Officers said he was slurring his words and was clearly drunk. They asked him to leave, and he said he’d had orders before and ‘I ain’t leaving’”
Dawson accepted he acted in the wrong way, and that he needs to control his behaviour, his solicitor said.
“Looking back, he does duly regret it, and is properly ashamed of his actions . If he does go out in future, he needs to make sure he does not get to this stage,” Khomar Masaud added.
Dawson was fined £130, and told to pay a £20 surcharge and £85 court costs.
