Transport festival set to wow crowds once again

DETAILS of the annual Rolleston charity transport festival have been announced.

It will take place on Monday, May 26 and will again be raising much needed funds for a range of charities and helping to support the community.

An extensive and varied range of classic and vintage cars from as early as 1910 will on be on show alongside a host of lorries, buses and bicycles.

However, this year sees a special focus on motorcycles , both classic and modern.

There will be a Hawker Hurricane flypast, static model displays and exhibitions at Rolleston Club, based in Burnside. and several marquees.

The show will again be held in conjunction with the village wide grand garage sale tour, where villagers open their garages to sell no longer needed items

The show is open from 10am to 5pm in the centre of the village on The Croft and Burnside.

Free parking is available at Elizabeth Avenue playing fields. There is wheelchair access to main event.

Admission is by programme only in the form of a commemorative brochure costing £3 per person in advance or £4 on the day.

Children enter for free.
